The ABCs of Early Intervention

Description

Course Summary:
Working with the birth-to-three population is a rewarding, yet often challenging experience for early intervention providers. Community-based services require providers to move from a dyadic model of service delivery to a triadic model, which includes parents and caregivers as integral members of the early intervention team. This course will examine the ABCs of early intervention to empower providers with evidence-based strategies for working with infants and toddlers and their caregivers. Some of the topics we will explore include barriers to success in early intervention, coaching the caregiver, routines-based IFSP outcomes, neurodiversity-affirming practices, and providing effective services in the childcare setting.
