Navigating DCFS and Hotline Calls in Early Intervention

Description

As Early Interventionists, we often work with babies and toddlers in vulnerable situations. We may understandably feel outraged, conflicted, helpless when confronted with evidence or suspicion of abuse. Working independently, in a child’s home, likely increases the emotional impact. Together, let’s talk about what to do.

Please join Megan Anderson, Child Protection Supervisor with DCFS on Thursday, November 14th from 12-1:30 pm. We will walk through hotline calls, think about minimum parenting standards, differentiate between safety and risk and think about how we as an Early Intervention team can provide support moving forward. Time will be allotted for questions and discussion!
