CFC 11 staff are welcome to join us for a thought-provoking discussion on adoption. The Cradle’s Deva Suckerman and Dori Fujii will present on adoption-appropriate language that respects all members of the adoption circle, how to ask about medical history, circumstances that brings families to consider adoption, differences in parenting an adoptive child, and how to share the adoption story, talk about adoption with the kiddo. It is an ambitious agenda! A lot of the concepts we talk about during this visit may also be able to apply to children in foster care or any child with disruptions in attachment.
