An Introduction to ASQ:SE-2

Description

This workshop explores why we screen young children for social emotional health and why the Ages & Stages Questionnaire: Social Emotional, Second Edition (ASQ:SE-2) is an ideal tool for screening. While the ASQ:SE-2 is used daily during the Early Intervention Intake process, service coordinators may not know why each question is being asked. This workshop delves deep into the 7 key behaviors (self-regulation, compliance, adaptive functioning, autonomy, affect, social- communication, interaction) screened by the ASQ:SE-2. Understanding these behavioral areas can be helpful as service coordinators score the tool and discuss results with families.
