What is it like to grow up as a deaf person? What obstacles have I as a deaf person faced? Life experiences including but not limited to: parental reaction to finding out about my deafness; family relationships and communication; enrolling at a mainstream program; attending the school for the deaf; friendships and relationships; college; and life currently as a parent and professional. Autumn Hoyt will be sharing her life experiences and journey as a deaf person and will try to share some tips on building resiliency and overcoming obstacles.
