Description |
"This workshop is an extension of the Bridges Out of Poverty seminar. Concepts from Bridges Out of Poverty are extended to allow for more discussion and interaction. In this seminar participants will learn more about language experience, cognitive issues, and barriers to change. Participants learn how to use mental models to communicate effectively and to assist clients from poverty to learn quickly, explore options, and develop future stories. Participants will also explore the skills of mediation, relationship building, and mentoring. It also introduces strategies for changing program designs, policies, and procedures to improve outcomes. Participants will use case studies and an examination of the client's lifecycle to identify principles of change."
