Supervisors Special Topics: Motivational Interviewing

Description

This training supports supervisors in their efforts to master the tasks of administrative supervision and accountability to ensure high quality parent support services.

Program supervisors and administrators have much to share and learn in terms of the daily challenges and rewards of supervising staff. This training provides an opportunity to meet three times a year for in-depth presentations by Illinois Birth to Three Institute and guest presenters in the field of staff supervision. Supervisors come together for group discussion, sharing of information and experiences, peer support, skill development, and joint problem solving. Topics for
presentation are chosen through training needs assessments, new information from the field, and supervisor feedback. Guest presenters also provide resources for follow up by participants, as well as further opportunities for advanced training and networking.
