Description

Family Adjustment after Deployment is designed for family members and professionals who are interested in learning more about the effects of military deployment on the overall functioning of a family. The presentation will review the physical and psychological effects of war on military personnel, as well as the psychological effects of deployment on the family left behind and adjustment factors affecting re-integration of the family post-deployment. Behaviors signaling adjustment problems within the family will also be reviewed, as well as treatment options in existence for supporting families during this transitional period.
