Brain Gym 101

Description

Objectives:
-learn triune brain structure, 3 body dimensions, characteristics/functions of each
-learn, experience, apply & model:
1) the 26 basic Brain Gym® movements/adaptations as they apply to the brain stem, limbic system, cerebral cortex, etc.
2) the PACE sequence (a 4-step functioning/learning-readiness sequence)
3) the body movements and muscle responses related to the brain stem, the limbic system and the cerebral cortex
-learn, experience, and identify the integrated/unintegrated states of learning/states of being
-learn/experience:
1) noticing skills in order to notice status of the body, mind and emotions as related to goals
2) 10 types of Brain Gym® balances (processes)

-facilitate:
1) the 10 types of Brain Gym® balances/their adaptations
2) facilitate the 2 repatterning processes and their adaptations
- identify professional applications of Brain Gym®

Mostly experiential class introducing a comprehensive program called Educational Kinesiology. Brain Gym® 101 is a pre-requisite for continuing courses. Brain Gym® develops the brain’s neural pathways nature’s way-through movement in order to improve reading, writing, math, organization, relaxation, listening, vision, physical coordination skills, memory, and much more. Based on 80 years of brain research, the course covers: assessment techniques; goal-setting techniques; the 26 basic Brain Gym® movements with many adaptations and variations; a 4-step learning readiness technique called PACE; the balance process (a process to dissolve blocks around learning and moving forward in any area of life) with 9+ variations; two repatterning techniques (processes which re-educate the nervous system so that all parts of the brain & of the body work together cooperatively); and personal and professional applications.
