Introduction to PROMPT: Technique Intervention Workshop

Description

PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) is based on a client centered philosophy which embodies neuromotor principles. Clincians are exposed to the Motor Speech Hierarchy for observation of what is usable or functional in the morot-speech system, to determine where motor-speech systems begin to break down, to learn which motor behaviors result in sound productions and their development, and to decide where to begin treatment. Clinicians are systematically exposed to the Application Principles of PROMPT and the integration and how to use PROMPTs at the Parameter, Syllable Complex and Surface level.
