Basic Everyday Sign Language for Young Children

Description

Many children with hearing loss or those who are nonverbal would benefit from the use of a visual communication system, i. e. sign language. What are the components of using visual communication? What are the signs for typical daily routines with young children? Where can I continue to learn more? The answers to these questions are explored in a fun and active way. The audience will have the opportunity to practice basic signs in a relaxed atmosphere. Time will be allowed for questions and demonstration of signs from audience members. Put down your pens, lift up your hands, and sign!
