Description |
Attend this evening training to hear Bridget Brown tell the story of her life as the first person with a disability to be fully included in her school district. She will encourage attendees to make plans based on dreams and not on fears. Her mother, Nancy Brown will inspire attendees with her own story about how she found her voice as an advocate for her daughter. Nancy provides practical advice, tools and strategies for families as they navigate through the educational system. Keeping an eye on goals and dreams is essential. Participants will leave with helpful ideas that will encourage them to be a leader in their child’s life and Dwell in the Possibilities. This workshop is being held in collaboration with Palatine School District 15 and SPARK, Special Education Parents Accessing Resources and Knowledge.
