This course is designed to be taken independent or in conjunction with "Introduction to Infant Treatment - 0-9 months" to enhance the problem solving skills of therapists working with infants who have atypical or delayed motor development. The purpose of this course is to advance the therapist’s assessment, treatment planning and handling clinical decision making skills in the areas of motor and postural control, gross motor and transition, upper extremity, hand, visual and play skills. The goal is to provide clinically relevant strategies which can be applied immediately upon return to a clinic setting.
FORMAT
This series is composed of two, three day courses which will concentrate on physical and occupational therapy assessment, treatment planning and treatment for infants. The first course in the series will cover newborn to nine months. The second three day course will focus on infants from 10 – 18 months.
