This collaborative statewide training has been developed to train staff and parents on the state and federal requirements of Early Intervention (EI) to Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) transition. This training assists EI and school districts in meeting the obligations of IDEA through providing a smooth and effective transition for children and their families from EI services to school district services. Evaluation and eligibility, transition meetings and responsibilities, interagency transtion agreements, timelines, best practice recommendations, and new state forms are among topics to be discussed.
