This presentation reviews history, causes, parent issues, and discusses, in detail, the differences and similarities in the pervasive developmental disorders (Autism, Asperger’s, Childhood Disintegrative Disorder, Rett Syndrome and PDD-NOS). Additionally, successful treatment strategies are reviewed to teach social and communication skills and deal with behavior problems through several case examples.
