The Participant will be able to:
1. Identify principal indications of sensosry and procesing challenges in the play of children with autism
2. Specify the DIR model of play techniques used to support specific sensory and processing challenges in children with autism.
3. Recognize the indicators of social-emotional challenges in the play of children with autism.
4. Describe the DIR model of play techniques to facilitate emotional regulation and expression in children.
5. Recognize common parent-child issues for children with interactive disorders, regulatory disorders or developmental delays.
6. Differentiate the DIR model of play techniques to facilitate adaptive interpersonal relatiionships in families with this universe of children.
7. Utilize the DIR model ofplay techniques to facilitate positive self-esteem in childen with sensory and processing challenges.
