| Description |
For parents and professionals new to the area of Sensory Integration, this informational session opens with a lecture covering the definitions of Sensory Integration and Sensory Processing, our seven senses (5 plus vestibular and proprioceptive), and red flags for sensory integration disorder. Small group discussions, intended for parents to get specific questions answered by experienced Occupational Therapists, and a large group discussion to address any more challenging questions presented will follow. Informational resources are provided. Sample items, commonly used in sensory diets, will be displayed for exploration and discussion.
