Description |
The development of comprehension in young children is a complex developmental process. It is often overlooked during assessment especially if the young child is already talking. This workshop will help participants gain a better understanding of the foundational capacities of shared attention, intentionality and shared meaning as necessary prerequisites for comprehension. Participants from all disciplines will have an opportunity to develop a better understanding of how a child's individual learning profile can affect this important component of the communication process.
