Movement 101

Description This workshop explores the development of gross and fine motor skills. Participants will examine issues of muscle tone, range of motion , strength and coordination, as well as foundational skills upon which advance motor skills are developed. Participants will discuss how the development of these skills are influenced by contemporary variables. Weight shifting, trunk rotation, handling and positioning will be demonstrated and discussed as strategies and techniqies participants can use with all children in their care.
