Description |
Accurate assessment of infants requires an awareness of many factors that occur simultaneously. This seminar uses PowerPoint, video review of assessment and handling, and case studies to present a blend of up-to-date information, including:
* Neurobehavioral development
* Social emotional development
* The unique role of parents supporting their infant
* Visual changes
The month-by-month motor milestones and sensory changes in the first six months of life are presented so that participants can acquire insights and tools needed to begin to treat infants during this fragile life stage.
Participants may bring a doll to use in hands-on exercises.
