Description |
Play is an important part of each person's life. It teaches the social skills of waiting and taking turns, winning and losing, and engaging with others. Play can also teach cognitive skills like moving clockwise, colors, shapes, sizes, numbers and counting. Through play, language skills can be taught and reinforced. This workshop teaches how to adapt board games to meet the individual needs of the learner. There will also be games that are adapted for young learners who are just beginning to participate in play and social activities.
