Early Intervention for Children with Hearing Impairment: From A to Z

Description This introductory workshop is deisgned for early intervention providers, early childhood educators, and SLPs helping children age birth to 3 to learn listening and spoken language. Topics include accessing audiologic and family services for the birth to 3 population; assessments for birth to 3; family support, counseling, and weekly sessions; what is included in small group instruction and how it is helpful; speech therapy; characteristics of successful early interventionists; the transition process at age 3; resources for professionals.
