Everyone who suspects child abuse or neglect SHOULD make a report to the Illinois Dept of Children and Family Services, but Mandated Reporters are required to do so by law. This online course, developed by IL Dept of Human Services is designed to help all Illinois Mandated Reporters understand their role in protecting children. Presented in this training is information for recognizing and determining child abuse and the process for reporting it to DCFS. To obtain EI credit for the completion of this course, please include a copy of the Certificate of Completion issued at the end of this training module with your (re)credentialing packet sent to Provider Connections.
Once you've reached the end of this training module, a certificate of completion will automatically display. Print a copy of this certificate as your proof of completion. Make a copy to send to Provider Connections for EI credential credit.
