Most of us were taught about autism using a deficits-based lens that doesn’t set us or our Autistic clients up for success. In this talk, Autistic SLP V. Tisi draws from her lived experience and the latest research to share a view of autism that is aligned with the lived experiences of Autistic people. You’ll learn about foundational concepts like masking and the double-empathy problem so that you can support your Autistic clients from a foundation that is empowering rather than pathologizing.
