Beginning 12/5/2023 through 6/4/2023 on the first Tuesday of each month, CFC 1 will hold team meetings. At the beginning of each team meeting, we will be training CFC Service Coordinators and CFC Parent Liaison on various medical conditions, then conducting case reviews/consultations with children who have the diagnosis being discussed that day. Due to the many newly hired CFC staff, we felt it important to increase their knowledge of the children they are serving. Based on the referrals this CFC has received, we picked diagnosis of those children we are currently serving to allow for better case consultation.
These topics for each day have been approved for the following IL EI credit:
12/5/23: Review Traumatic Brain Injuries- Stroke, Intraventricular Hemorrhage- Grade III and HIE (Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy), Cysts, and PVL (periventricular leukomalacia) -1.5 ATY
1/9/24: Review Cerebral palsy, Agenesis of the Corpus Collosum, Infantile Spasms (West Syndrome), Holoprosencephaly, Lissencephaly.-1.5 ATY
2/6/24: Review of Genetics Part I- Noonan syndrome, Dandy walker Syndrome, PHACE syndrome, Kleinfelder Syndrome, and DiGeorge.-1.5 ATY
3/5/24: Review of Genetic Part II- Trisomy XXX, Angelman's syndrome, Fragile X, Trisomy 13, Trisomy 18, and Krabbe disease-1.5 ATY
4/2/24: Review Failure to Thrive-1.5 ATY
5/7/24: Review of Down Syndrome-1.5 ATY
6/4/24: Neonatal Meningitis vs Meningitis-1.5 ATY
