• August: How Understanding One’s Own Cultural Background Supports Effective Service -1 WWF
• September: Maintaining Professional Boundaries-1 WWF
• October: Building Trust with Clients and Co-workers-1 WWF
• November: Talking with Parents about Difficult Topics – Challenging Conversations-1 WWF
• December: Supporting Families During a Medical Diagnostic-1 WWF


This is an ongoing professional development series for Service Coordinators designed to use reflection-based consultation to explore work with EI clients, other professionals and intersecting systems. Case vignettes and field experiences will be explored using a facilitated group process with adherence to reflective practice principles. Each series topic will utilize the FAN approach for engagement, be sensitive to cultural diversity, practitioner diversity, and overall needs of the participants. Service Coordinators will describe current cases focusing on strengths, challenges and next steps arising from group discussion. The consultation meeting will be facilitated by the CFC Social-Emotional Consultant.
