Theraplay Group training focused upon Birth to age five

Description

Target audience - For early childhood professionals, Home Visiting, classroom teachers & paras, child care providers, residential, Early Intervention providers, and others working with pregnant women and families with very young children.
This is the two-day training. We will only accept applications for both days.
Group Theraplay® is an adult-directed, structured play that incorporates playful, cooperative, and nurturing activities that enhance the emotional well-being of children. Unlike other play approaches, Theraplay learning takes place on a non-verbal level. Instead of talking about positive social behavior, the leaders and children do positive social interaction. Positive messages from the social interaction gradually become a part of the child’s (or parent’s, if present) internal sense of self.
