Intro to NDT: For Early Intervention Speech Providers

This course will be an overview of Neuro-Developmental Approach (NDT) approach to Multi-Disciplinary treatment of Neuromuscular dyfunction. The purpose is to improve treatment and outcomes with neuromucular dysfunction by providing advanced education that improves the therapists skills in assessment, evaluation and functional treatment. This course will concentrate on the SLP’s role with children 0-3 years old by considering the child’s postural system and implications as it relates towards advancing play, speech-language, and feeding skills through presentation, handling practicums, and client task analysis. Information will be presented from an interdisciplinary framework to promote collaboration with team members and have meaningful improvements to their clients overall participation with family, peers, and community members.

*All of these days are mandatory to complete in order to receive a certificate and to receive ANY IL EI credits. This course is offered as a hybrid, online / in-person course.
