This is an "in house" training for CFC #15 Service Coordinators during which Dr. Larry Desch will present medical diagnostic, assessment, treatment information, and resources. Case examples of a child diagnosed with Leigh's Syndrome, and the Child diagnosed with Bacterial Meningitis will be presented. Diagnostic considerations, clinical features, symptoms, causes, genetics, prevalence, prognosis, treatment, clinical implications, available resources, and assessment of the needs of the child and family in EI will be addressed.
