Illinois Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing 59th Annual Conference: Socialization Skills for Students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing

Description

Socialization skills are not always considered for our younger students, we typically wait until we see a problem before we work on these skills. Research shows that our children tend to have difficulty with higher level socialization skills but if explicitly taught, these kids can thrive socially. Mental health is on the rise, knowing what we know about socialization deficits in our students is the first step. to combat this for our students Knowing what to do tomorrow with your students is the key to their success.
