Illinois Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing 59th Annual Conference: Interactive Troubleshooting How to For Cochlear Implants

Description

This breakout session will educate participants on the fundamental parts and basic function of cochlear implants. It will also provide an update on the latest devices from the 3 cochlear implant manufacturers and representatives will be on hand to address specific system questions. Participants will then be taught troubleshooting procedures of current cochlear implant systems and given an opportunity to practice these skills with live devices. The target audience are professionals working with cochlear implant recipients ages birth-22.
