Hearing and Vision Services: When, How, and Why Referrals Should Be Made

Description

The loss of hearing and/or vision significantly impacts a child's development. Early Intervention professionals will learn the importance of identifying hearing and vision loss and referring the child for DT/Vision and DT/Hearing services when needed. A review of vision and hearing impairments and concerns for sensory loss will be shared. With this knowledge, Early Intervention professionals will be able to support families obtain DT/Vision and DT/Hearing services when appropriate.
