Baby Treatment: Contemporary NDT & Evidence-Based Intervention

Description

This course specifically helps therapists provide evidence-based early intervention in order to impact a baby and family’s life. Find out how and why this age is the time to emphasize prevention to maximize outcomes for gross motor, fine motor and respiration. Learn how to enhance developmental outcomes while considering the research that guides decision-making. Optimize ways to support parents in engaging with their children. Analyze development in neurotypical infants and compare to delayed and atypically developing babies and toddlers. An emphasis is placed on functional outcomes appropriate for this age group, and how to incorporate strategies into family life. Case analyses will include developmental delay, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and prematurity.
