Collaboration with DCFS: Reporting Child Abuse/Neglect and Working with DCFS-Involved Families

Description

This training will review the process of mandated reporting as well as what happens after a report of suspected child abuse/neglect is made to DCFS. Scenarios drafted in consideration of the target audience will lend to a thoughtful discussion as to whether DCFS should or should not be contacted. The training also involves a review of the role of DCFS in providing supportive services to families and how community-based providers such as Early Intervention and DCFS can partner to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
