Early Intervention: Postural Control and Handling Techniques (Kub - Live Interactive Webinar)

Description

Children with moderate to severe neuromotor impairment benefit from hands on treatment to improve therapeutic outcomes. Best practice in early intervention emphasizes use of therapeutic interventions that can be carried over in the natural environment. Instructing caregivers in handling techniques will improve functional outcomes in the young child with neuromotor impairment.

In this analytic and interactive workshop, we will learn and analyze hands-on techniques for facilitation of postural control and movement through developmental positions. We will also empower participants to implement these techniques for the most common problems in the pediatric patient with neuromotor disorders such as: truncal hypotonia, shoulder girdle instability, and extremity dysfunction. Participants will leave with effective neurodevelopmental handling strategies they can integrate into their toolbox the next day to improve therapeutic outcomes.
