Language Sampling for Ongoing Progress Monitoring

Description

This presentation builds upon a previous language sampling workshop. It focuses on developing a plan for language sampling. It gives specific information on how to analyze language samples. It describes how to write progress reports to share information with families. Breakout sessions will review case studies and sample progress reports.

Learning Objectives -
At the end of this session, participants will be able to
? Build on previous knowledge and develop an action plan for incorporating language sampling as
a data collection tool in their family routines.
? Analyze sentence structures and syntactic elements that are accurate, inaccurate, or absent.
? Create a verbal and written script to describe the student’s language level to families and
colleagues.
