Capturing Family Outcomes

This workshop will explore how EI providers can improve family-centered practice by bringing family outcomes and caregiver input to the forefront. Participants will review U.S. Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) child and family outcomes and will consider typical IFSP outcomes. Participants will draw from their clinical experiences to identify ways of enhancing IFSP outcomes. Participants will critique two assessment tools, the SCOPE and the YC-PEM according to how appropriate they are for capturing child and family participation outcomes with direct input from caregivers.
