Reflective Practice for EI Service Coordinators Series FY 2023. This is an ongoing reflective supervision series for Service Coordinators. Contemporary experiences will be explored using a facilitated group process with adherence to reflective practice principles. The “use of professional self”, attuned relating, increasing competence, building reflective capacity and to develop skills and inform meaningful service delivery will be discussed. The series occurs one time monthly for twelve sessions lasting 60 minutes each. General themes and concepts embedded in the series process include:
These sessions will be awarded the following IL EI credits:
•FAN- the core process of the FAN will be discussed and illustrated via group process.-1 WWF
• Mindful Self-Regulation to promote attunement.-1 WWF
• Service Coordinator Stressors, Protective Factors and Cultural Background – identification of triggers, vulnerabilities, ecological challenges and professional strengths using reflective supervision/consultation will be illustrated.-1 WWF
• The impact of vicarious trauma on the developing professional and self-care will be explored.-1 WWF
• Exploration of Concerns - strategies for eliciting varied perspectives to inform next steps will be discussed and applied.-1 WWF
• Integration of Practice Insights – the use of reflective supervision to promote knowledge of accomplishments and solutions to identified challenges will be explored.-1 WWF
• Supporting Families throughout the medical diagnostic process-1 WWF
• Managing challenging conversation with families and team members-1 WWF
• Supporting Families who live in stressful circumstances-1 WWF
• Providing EI Services to families who struggle with the conditions of poverty-1 WWF
• Addressing the social emotional issues arising from the pandemic-1 WWF
