Assessing the Needs of the Child with Bilateral Congenital Nuclear Cataracts and the Child with Cat Eye Syndrome

This is an "in house" training for CFC #15 Service Coordinators during which Dr. Larry Desch will present medical diagnostic, assessment, treatment information, and resources. Case examples of a child diagnosed with Bilateral Congenital Nuclear Cataracts and a child diagnosed with Cat Eye Syndrome will be presented. Diagnostic considerations, clinical features, symptoms, causes, complications, prevalence, prognosis, treatment, clinical implications, available resources, and assessment of the needs of the child and family in EI will be addressed.
