Trauma Informed Morning Seminar

Description

In this trauma seminar, CFC 10 staff continue on their journey to become a trauma informed system. First, we look at our CFC 10 history including the FAN training, Bright Start grant, creation of the trauma incident reporting tool, and our partnership with DCFS. We then delve into where we go from here in becoming trauma informed professionals. This includes continuing to learn about adverse experiences and recognizing the difference between normal stress, chronic stress and traumatic stress. The FAN tool is considered as a way to attune to families and use mindful self regulation, and scenarios will be used to practice discussing trauma with families. The group will end by reflecting on what it means to be a trauma informed professional in early intervention.
