Join educators and artists, Alina Celeste and Hamlet "Mi Amigo" Meneses, for a two-hour program on how to infuse music into your picture book collection! They will provide an extensive list of usable, accessible books with an emphasis on Bilingual (Spanish and English) representation; titles with under-represented characters and cultures; and books written to encourage and teach inclusion. Learn about the picture book form and folk song forms and how they can be easily fused to create an engaging, dynamic story time that promotes language acquisition and a stronger feeling of community. Practice techniques that you can use with new books, as well as build your repertoire of books through their demonstrations, recommended lists, and further resources.
