Description |
This training, for those who have completed the first two tiers of Pyramid Model training, will build on the basic practices of the Pyramid Model strategies to improve the social-emotional outcomes for young children, children at risk, or children with delays or disabilities. This session will examine the importance of teaching peer-mediated social skills for inclusion. Participants will examine what skills are important to teach as well as be given examples for planning and embedding social skills throughout the day. The presenter will provide content using multimedia to provide examples and activities for participants to implement in their own settings. Since this training builds off of Pyramid Model strategies and is an intermediate level training, participants are required to have competed Pyramid Model training through STAR NET or email documentation of Pyramid Model training from other providers to starnet@wiu.edu (see prerequisite section for details).
