Movement, Mindfulness, and Masterpieces: Supporting Little Ones as they Explore Yoga Poses and Breath, Mindfulness and Creative Expression through Art

Description

Little bodies need to explore a variety of movement and sensory experiences to develop both physically and cognitively. We can support a child’s innate curiosity and joy of learning through the multi-sensory experiences of yoga and art. Little ones process their world through sound, movement, touch, and even taste and smell, all which can be incorporated throughout the day in a variety of settings. Learn ways to include mindfulness, breath, movement, and art to enhance relationships, body awareness, learning, and imaginary play. Dress to play, as you will have opportunities to move and get messy throughout the day. Please bring a yoga mat or beach towel and wear comfortable clothing. Note: Any physical activity comes with some risk. Please be aware of your own limitations and know that participating in any of the poses or activities presented in this workshop is voluntary.
