Responding to Challenging Behaviors in Young Children


A common challenge for parents and care-givers of young children is knowing how to respond to challenging or intense behaviors. There are several different approaches to responding in a way that will help the child and the care-giver connect and be able to reduce the stress that the intense behaviors can bring to the environment and the relationship.
This seminar will help us understand what the behaviors most often mean in young children and how the adults response to them is often the key to productive outcomes. Strategies that adults can use will be offered and a increased awareness of how to best meet the needs of a child who demonstrating behaviors that are challenging to the caregivers.
