HARMONIZING ADJUNCTS WITHIN THE NDT FRAMEWORK

Description

The 2022 NDTA Conference will present the following topics with an emphasis on function and participation:
- Application of complimentary treatment strategies to enhance functional outcomes.
- Using adjuncts to assist with biomechanics and muscle strengthening
- Using adjuncts to support functional outcomes for communication, oral motor control and swallowing.
- Adding FES to NDT treatment
- Tactile feedback to enhance effective movement strategies
- Treatment variables that promote neuroplastic changes
- Treatment strategies to address shoulder girdle impairments
- Whole Body or Focal Vibration for musculoskeletal, sensory, neuromuscular, and respiratory systems
- Neurobiological intersections between vestibular-visual processing and Neuro Developmental Treatment
- Intentional sensory interventions as adjuncts to NDTs contributions in supporting posture and movement challenges.
- Combining Yoga therapy and NDT to address multi-system impairments and participation for individuals with cerebral palsy and other neuromotor disorders.
- Enhancing treatment in children with cerebral palsy for gross motor, fine motor and oral motor control.
