Responsive Feeding Techniques in the Young Child

Description

This training is for therapists specializing in children presenting with feeding disorders in the birth to three population. This training will focus on helping providers guide families in gauge their baby’s readiness for solid food, how to Introduce bold flavors to set the stage for a lifetime of adventurous eating, navigate tricky transitions and picky eating—peacefully to help their baby become a confident, independent eater! Participants will learn strategies to guide parents on initial spoon feeding, baby lead weaning, and helping kids learn to eat a variety of foods in an enjoyable way. Participants will learn modifications that can be utilized with special populations including children with autism, sensory based feeding issues, and weight concerns.
