| Description |
This trauma training is an overview for home visitors in early intervention seeking to use trauma informed competencies in their work with children and families. The following concepts will be addressed:
-definition of trauma
-identification of risk factors
-vicarious trauma for the home visitor
-introduction to the ACES study
-introduction to FAN – model for mindful self regulation
-reflective practice activities to support meaningful intervention
Methods to enhance learning will include use of a PowerPoint/resources, video of vignettes and small group activities.
