NANT 12th Annual Pre-Conference Session 2: On Being a Trauma Informed Professional

Description

This 3-hour interactive pre-conference session takes you on a deep dive into the development, delivery, discoveries, and global implications of the Trauma Informed Professional Certificate Program. You will be introduced to the attributes of a Trauma Informed Professional and experience how these attributes invite you to reconnect with your authentic self through personal reflection and journaling. And you will uncover how this journey transforms how you engage with others and yourself.

In the recent policy statement (2021), the American Academy of Pediatrics highlights the urgency for child health services to become trauma informed. Becoming a Trauma Informed Professional is a first step in changing the existing paradigm to create systems of care that are trauma sensitive and developmentally aware. This pre-conference will challenge you to evaluate your trauma literacy and discover how you can become a trauma informed professional.
