As a parent of a now 20 year old, this presenter has been down all the paths necessary for a successful outcome. Not only that, she has made a career out of supporting families and professionals who have or work with children who deaf/hard of hearing. This is a fun filled, sometime tear filled trip through the last 20 years and what it is like on the other side, as the parent. What it is like after your session is over and you leave, how do parents make it through. Come find out!
I have presented this session at the National EHDI meeting and it was a packed room, standing room only. Professional want to hear the parents side of things, allow me as the presenter to be open, candid and honest about what went well and what didn't. Lots of fun images, video's etc., of the choices we made, the changes we made and what's happening now.
