Description |
The holidays can bring unique challenges for families with children with atypical development. In this workshop we will discuss ways to help coach families, and yourself, to prepare for possible situations that may occur during the holidays. These situations can be everything from attending family gatherings, to child meltdowns that keep you from these gatherings; unexpected comments from well meaning relatives, or not so well meaning relatives; to balancing your expectations for your own feelings of happiness and joy, during a time that can bring stressors and challenges as well. We will discuss pre-planning strategies for you to use and share with families to help bring peace to this holiday season.
